I was thinking about how far you are travelling John, it's a decent enough run down the M1 for you but It's still a fair way to to come. I reckon you'd be best coming down Friday, then you will be nice and fresh for some serious drinking Saturday.

What, goose eggs? They only lay for three months, due to stop any time now. There will be free range chicken eggs though.

    Ah, got me geese cross-hobbled.

Right, I've up-dated the first post, the date is now set for the weekend 25/26 June.

You can come and pitch up on the Friday if you want to make it a two nighter.

Saturday is open to non campers, come along and join in, a sort of laid back EMCCU meet-up, it doesn't matter if you've never been to a meet before, just turn up and enjoy yourselves.

    Obviously, knives are compulsory.

Air guns are OK, there will be a plinking range set up.

There is room for archery if you want, I haven't got any gear or targets so you will have sort that out yourselves.

We can have a camp fire Saturday night, and I will sort out a barbecue and first aid box.

If you fancy your chances, we can have a cutting comp. These usually descend into organised chaos quite rapidly, but are neverless entertaining. The local hospital is only ten minutes away by fast car, so assuming we have a sober driver on stand-by I can't foresee any problems.

Send me a PM if you are interested, and I'll send you my exact location

It should be that weekend anyway, it was originally a celebration of the Summer Solstace. I was at the first one, you know.

    Re: EMCCU Summerjam 2011

    Now then Ant.

( copyright ) refers to Danzos involvement with the running of the EMCCU.

You organised the first one I went to mate, I remembered the solstice reference when I set the date for this one.

I've got happy memories of Hill Holt, and it seemed fitting to carry the summerjam title on.

Hope you can make it to this one.

Don't reckon I'll be able to get the night off, but might be able to pop up for a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon.

Glad the Summerjam name is living on, good job.
