Chevin blade no.2
This was the 2nd great blade that I got from Adam ,

Specs are 3mm thick 01,
19 cm o/a length with a 8 cm cutting edge ,
flat ground in what seems a single edge dagger design .
I thought for a while on how I wanted this one to look and in the end settled for Tacti-cool

The scales are black G-10 with a deeply textured Carbon fiber overlay , over white liners .

Ive used CF tubes filled with green GITD powder as the pins . sorry for the bad pic
Im not so hot at this low light photo stuff.

I think theres still some work to do yet as Im not happy with the GITD powders finish as it looks a little bitty but the glow is kinda bright
Im also going to add 2 trits in the top of the scales where the blade meets the scales so that they help oreintate the hand in the dark as the whole package is a little symetrical .
and as Im more used to working with Spydies I really miss some kind of choil / finger grove, so may yet change the design to suit My personal needs .
Many thanks To Adam for the blade.

Very smart Ru.
A finger groove would look ok on that, I think.

Thanks Guys ,
yeah I was thinking possibley a CF pattern concealex bootknife type and or a textured leather version but havnt decided yet .
Im still thinking about the choil are Stew , Adam designed the blade without one for a reason , so may keep it as is but just work the cf scales instead .LEATHER & KYDEX SHEATH MAKER !

Re: Chevin blade no.2
Not usually a fan of square handles, but that one's a cracker. The simplicity and the 'mean' materials work with the straight forward angular shapes and the plain blade. I wouldn't change a thing, but that's just me

Re: Chevin blade no.2
Nice work, has a very purposeful no nonsense look to it. Just needs a matching sheath.

Ace as it is. Trits are a nice thought though.

Re: Chevin blade no.2
It was a toss up between trits in the top or jimping , but as I had some feedback today from Axle poping on over Im still undecided .

Re: Chevin blade no.2
Id leave it alone if it was me. But then again its not so its up to you. Not an easy choice as you know I have had with that tanto. You simply reach a point where you do nothing until it just happens
