Folder pivot

I was wondering if someone could suggest a source for folder pivots, approx OD of pivot 5mm

Hi Matt,

I'm on the same hunt at the moment and research so far has made me think I'll go for 3/16" instead ( approx 4.8mm). The reason is availability of phosphor bronze washers, choice of pivot pin designs and lengths etc.

If you really want metric CouteauCustoms in France seem to have a range, if you can understand the website. The pivot pins and other parts can be found in the 'folding stools' section!

I thought Brisa in Finland might be a good option but they sell mainly American stuff, 3/16" being popular.

I'm on the verge of ordering from KnifeKits in USA and buying a load of stuff I want anyway to make the pain of $29.50 postage a little easier to take. From memory they do a 5mm pivot option and 5mm washers but you would need to check.
