Re: summerjam 2011 photos(lots of)
Yup, what Steve said.
And what the pics don't show clearly is that the entire range area was "sealed off" from the rest of the garden/orchard using red and white striped plastic tape at waist height!
You can see some at either side of the long bench in both pics.

Pointed out at the time and chastised accordingly Colin. Not the best range safety I'd ever seen, but all was well in the end.

p.s.
I thought he was refering more to the ammount of broken barrels not being supported/kept hold of during loading. Other than that it was definitley camera angle Col, the shooting line dicipline was all good.Last edited by ubermeister; 27-06-11 at 06:04 PM.

Re: summerjam 2011 photos(lots of)
It was a wonderful 'get together' ! A great location, excellently Hosted in a superb setting and from my perspective a fantastic opportunity to spend time with people I was dying to meet. You would have thought we'd known each other for years!I must admit to being a little 'Starstruck' at times! To be talking knives with other Knife nuts (and such personal heroes as Mike,Ralph,H.T.G. (John), Danzo et al), was a real treat for me! I have been in touch with Zorro and his lovely wife to thank them and especially Chris for the kind care and attention he paid to my boy Joshua. He has gained a dedicated 'Sidekick' for life!Chris spent hours with the boys and I can assure any one concerned that he maintained a VERY safe firing line at all times! My only regret was that I had to drag Josh away far too soon!He loved every minute and would be up for another 'meet' tomorrow never mind next weekend!I know I can be a bit of a soppy old git where he is concerned but I was very proud of his making the most of the day, and of all the best new friends I could meet and introduce him too.He couldn't have had a better example of what 'friendship' is and what a good time can be had with good people. This Forum is a real 'community' and it is great to be a part of it!

It's in the perspective of the pictures Col, everyone was sensible and observed normal safety and etiquette.

Don't understimate the combo effect of sun and cider!
I zonked out at 7pm last night feeling distinctly woozy, but woke up several times overnight to drank a total of five litres of water before 7am!

Re: summerjam 2011 photos(lots of)
I achully meant both! with the best will in the world, having kids sitting down in front of grown men with loaded air rifles is a recipe for disaster. & having three poorly controlled airguns at the same time is even worserer!
I don't wanna be a killjoy, no one was hurt & that's a result. But have a care lads
Eric & proud!

Re: summerjam 2011 photos(lots of)
Col, I apreciate your concern mate but you are jumping to a conclusion based on a couple of pics which don't show how we were actually organised.
There were at least 2,000 pellets discharged, and to the best of my knowledge when the kids were shooting there was an adult present keeping an eye on them.
Also to the best of my knowledge we had no "near misses" or any other incident that would cause me to have words with anyone, and I can assure you if anybody had done anything silly in front of me or if there had been worries voiced by anybody present the range would have been closed down.OIL THE JOINTS / KEEP THE FAITH
