DIY belt grinder?
I'm building my own belt grinder and was just wondering if some one could answer! Should I attach the belt straight to the drive wheel or should I Go with the Shaft Pillow Block then a contact wheel?. Any help would be greatly appreciated and any other advise. Ps love this forum keep up the good work.

Re: DIY belt grinder?
you can go ether way. I have built three so far and the first two were pillow blocks the last direct drive.
if you use pillow blocks, you can put step pulleys and have a cheap variable speed. if you go direct drive you are eather stuck with a single speed or will have buy a pricier VFD.
it all comes down to money
