It's stunning, but it's just a bit too "fussy" for me.

I like the combination of materials, but I'm definitely not feeling the love for the blade shape.

Got one on pre-order. This was voted overall knife of the year at the 2011 blade show but they are only making 1000 of them I think.
A very special knife this one.

Any idea on cost? Am I wildly off?
The heinnie price for the 0561 is just shy of 250 if memory serves! I reckon this will be a lot more spends!

I am at a complete loss to understand why anyone would pay 456 for a production folder, especially when a substantial 1000 of them will be made!

I know this is UK pricing and there are a several extra things to factor in, but the dollar equivalent, US$750 will buy you a fully custom folder from some really big name makers. Different strokes, different folks and all that, but why would anyone want one of a thousand identical production knives costing the same as a unique hand made knife made to your own specs?

    Personally I think it's hideous.

Yeah I had to talk myself in to it (like that's hard) but all the limited edition kershaw/zt knives are really sought after and are almost impossible to find on the secondary market so if needs must you could get your money back at any time.

    Absolutely!

But this one baffles me as ZT built their name on rock solid folders with great designs by Ken Onion which were very reasonably priced, to my mind some of the best value for money top end production folders around.

This doesn't seem to have any ZT heritage in it's design, it's typical modern limited edition Kershaw, but at twice the price!
