Sharpening an Enzo Trapper
Hello,
I use a japanese wet stone for sharpening my scandi blades. However, the Trapper's factory grind angle is a bit smaller(more gradual) than I'm use to.
Should I be laying the blade on it's factory angle when sharpening?
thank you!

If you like the way it cuts and haven't had problems with chipping I'd keep the angle. A bit of black marker on the bevel will help you see where you're hitting

Re: Sharpening an Enzo Trapper
A scandi has only one bevel angle, your Trapper probably has two angles: The main bevel angle (which will be shallower than a scandi) and the cutting edge bevel which will be about 20 degrees each side and steeper than your scandi.
Unless I have misunderstood your post, you might be looking at the wrong bevel angle. You need to sharpen the cutting edge bevel.

Yep, I'd agree with that. Looking at the pics on Brisa the trapper apears to have a secondary bevel.
