    For my next trick.....

Firstly I'd like to say a big thank you to Axle for sending me this blade

I have some red fibre liner given to me Ru and I have some buffalo horn scales on the way and I will use Corby bolts to hold it all together but I'm in a bit of a dilemma as to which Corby's to use, do I use brass or stainless, What do you think would suit, I plan on keeping the blackening to the grind line and polishing from the line to the edge, perhaps I should ask my dad as I will be making it for him.

I will post more pics when I have some progress.

If you're keeping the blackening,i'd go with brass Corbys,if not go with stainless.

Or just ignore me and do whatever you want!

    Hi Se7en,
I was leaning toward the brass, you know black blade, black buffalo, black & gold with a polished edge. I've even got some brass pins in 3mm and 6mm, that might work.

you make the blade look dirtier mate

Fresh from HT, albeit some months ago it would be good to see it being used. Id go with bright liners, and brass.. give it some pop factor with the style. Keep it simple on the shape and it will work better imho... some brass liners might work well too ?

Haven't got brass but I've got copper for liners, I like the sound of that with brass Corby's.

I've had the blade soaking in a vinegar bath over night and I might take a toothbrush to it later.
