It is an absolute belter of a torch mate.

Only three downsides for me (2 of them minor)

    (1) no pocket clip... Whyever not? It's perfect size for a pocket clip!
    (2) cannot "lockout" to prevent accidental activation in a bag.
    (3) according to the manual, primary CR123 cells only. (but OK with 3V rechargeables and Lee was able to run it on an AW16340 without killing it)

No clip I agree Dave, such a small thing makes a big difference.
Lock out no biggy for me but I do see where your coming from.
16340 ability is my one issue with it really. I did say this to Tony when we were discussing the torch.
However it is a cracking light and the U/I makes up for the the first 2 things for me.
It would be reassuring to know you were not going to screw it by using 16340's.

    Re: Klarus XT1C Torch Passaround

Now for the report or rambling nonsense which ever you prefer !
First size wise it is ideal for pocket carry and if clipped to a uniform it would hardly be noticed .I have given it to a few of my colleagues from the 5ft 2 inch delicate types to a 6ft 5 inch Conan the Barbarian body double all found it useable though Conan did say he wouldn't want to be reaching for it in a hurry

Secondly the UI top marks all round from my 13 year old techy son to my 61 year old technophobic mum everybody could operate it with ease

Third the overall performance of this tiny torch is impressive I could easily light up objects a 35yds away

The only downside I could see is the cost of the cells and the limited runtime on high if you were to be using for extended periods eg searching big areas and as Conan pointed out it may get a bit awkward if you are reaching for it in a hurry

For me I see this torch as similar in function to the SF back up but a damn site more varied and brighter too

Thanks Again Brian for taking the time to do this for us
