Two for one client, one for another, the fourth just for the hell of it....

All cut from 5.5mm RWL34...

The guards will present me with a steep relearning curve, it has been a good few years since I have fitted guards in this way, so just for a bit extra pressure I'll do it in public...

No, I'm going to mill them in slightly, from the Ricasso towards the spine, so I know there are no gaps that might reveal as I shape in where your forefinger will sit...

Sorry mate, spoken for that one, that one and the third one up are identical DP's, the second one up a Nessmuck Skinner, the top one Stretched Semi Skinner...

The SSS is the one as yet homeless...

I ordered in some guard material from overseas, it is slooooooowwwww arriving, I think it is coming by Italian cruise liner, I don't want to mill the slots afore I have it in hand...

Hi Stu, Whow these will be special, I didnt realise that you had to get Stainless Steel from the states for bolsters, especially when you work in Sheffield. I would have thought that it was cheap as chips and just as available? But thats what makes your knives so special, so much attention to detail. But maybe there is some other material used on the guard ? I can think of the pins, but they would surely be the same material. Perhaps you would share your secret?
