Re: Open farm (weekend of KnivesUK)

    *** urgent ***

    Hi folks

Just had a call from Grace on her mobile saying that the landline phone number she gave out to those coming to the farm is not working. She had to drive out to the main road to get a mobile connection so there is little point trying to contact her that way either. No internet connection either.

On the plus side I believe there will be witch burnings and plague.

Sounds like a large time for all. Wish I could've made it. I would esp liked to have tried Guinness and chocolate cake.
I hope all went well and fires were kept in check.

    top court yard...

walking in the wood to find the drinking water spring

    farmer style overflow

small child and husband burning things

    temporary kitchen (at knee level!)

    breakfast on Friday morning

...ben ignoring the smell of breakfast cooking next to him!

We went to Hay-on-Wye on Friday afternoon to get some stuff from the farmers co-op and ended up book buying (of course)

Two of the property's boundaries are streams...they meet at the corner of the bottom field.

You're going to have to throw some free knives in, too. After all, it does have two kitchens and it's own batch of friendly bats in the roof.

A colony, cloud, cauldron of bats.

...but all I know is that my bedroom was in the attic at the far end of the house and during my teenage years I had to occasionally share it with a couple of bats.
