Yes. Looks nice, clean and readable.
However a look at this on a blade would be good for judgement.

I like it.
Typeface 'Trajan' is a true classic.
Maybe the small details of the letters will be lost in small size reproduction and etching ?

That gap in the bottom line is the only detail that adds to something personal.
Identity is difference - if you leave out that gap there is not much left to make a difference.

I should think the makers name was/is personal. The makers name is what sets him apart ... that and the quality of his knives of course

IMO the line in its current interrupted state is annoying and disturbing. It looks like a fault (I know it isnt) and does not leave a tidy impression.

...but thats just me.

As a graphic designer I was referring to the graphics - but I wasn't clear about that.
