Torch passaround - Rofis Transformers Jazz JR20
I was going to start this thread once I'd finished the review, but I figured I might as welll get it posted up now.
I've not seen many right-angle head torches on the market that use a modern LED, and until finding this one I've not seen one that has a rotatable head so it can be a normal torch or a right-angle headed one.
The Rofis Transformers Jazz JR20...

I'll update the photos above with my own photos once I've done the review. This torch was provided to me for review by Antony at Flashaholics, and I've decided to do a passaround of it for interested folks as it's unusual and eminently practical with the rotating head design.
(review is now online if you want to have a read of it before signing up for the pass around - Click Here)
Specs:
- Cree XP-G LED (R5) with a life span of 50,000 hours
- Uses two 3V CR123A Lithium batteries or one 18650 Li-ion battery
- 144mm (Length) x 24mm (Diameter)
- 90-gram weight (excluding batteries)
- Using a unique lamp holder rotating patent structure
- Digitally regulated output - maintains constant brightness
- Intelligent memory circuit, automatically memorizes last level used
- Reverse polarity protection,
- Waterproof to IPX-8(underwater 2m)
- Tactical tail cap switch with momentary-on function
- Made of durable aircraft-grade aluminum
- Premium Type III hard-anodized anti-abrasive finish
- Toughened ultra-clear glass lens with anti-reflective coating
- 4 x brightness levels, 3 x strobe settings, with memory.
The Rules:
- 10 members only
- Maximum of 1 week per member before posting it on to the next person on the list.
- You must supply your own 18650 battery to test with it (or use 2 x CR123 primary cells). Sorry I don't have a spare 18650 and single cell charger to send out with the light at the moment. DO NOT USE 2 x RCR123 /16340 3.7V rechargeable cells as this will fry the torch.
- UK members only (sorry guys)
- Minimum 500 posts on the forum to take part
- MUST be posted from person to person by RMSD and the tracking number posted in this thread.
- You must supply me with your address and a contact number by PM so I know who's got it.
- Do a review of the torch in this thread. It doesn't have to be a full on Jamie review with beamshots and runtime tests, but something more than just a one sentence "nice torch" to let folks know what you think of it, please!
- The head of the torch only rotates in one direction to switch between right-angle and "normal" position. Do not try and force it to turn beyond the two end positions.
- If the torch arrives to you damaged in any way, please LET ME KNOW as soon as it arrives otherwise...
- If you break it, you bought it!

Very much looking forward to this one Dave.
For me to justify a torch spend nowadays it has to be a practical design. Or just silly bright.
The technology has been in place for a while and I've been wowed by many of them, but this actually very useful.Frank Mclaury: You're next on my list, Holliday. You better get used to seeing my face, 'cause it's the last thing you're gonna see.
Doc Holliday: McLaury, seeing your face would be a pleasant change. I understand most of your enemies got it in the back.
