Herts, Beds & Bucks (HBBCA) meetup thread
i would like to propose a HBBCA meet up on the 15t of this month (June 2013) at the new airgun range at Flaunden? It is also their open day so would help with the head count.
They are very knife friendly and will let us use a portacabin on site if the weather is not as it should be.
They are also happy for Bladesports to take place on site.
Shooting is a Tenner for all day.
There is a pistol and zero range in addition to the rifle range that run up to 80 yds.
we could do a bbq or similar and make a day of it? bring ya own burgers and stuff as there is no refreshments on site so also bring flasks/jetboils whatever to make drinks with.
the site is an old quarry just past the green dragon pub, map link below. after passing the pub (hard for some i know
), you drive through a set of gates (please close em behind you) which is signposted green dragon pub and springview ranges.

Re: Herts, Beds & Bucks
i have noticed that there are a few of us all within a fairly close geographical area, as above. i wondered if we should consider a meet up of some sort?
there are quite a few suitable locations, perhaps the Verulam Arms in St Albans, home of the foragers resteraunt, or there is always broomhills in markyate, where a bit of air gun shooting could be combined with knifey stuff?
any comments and ideas?Last edited by Chastiser; 11-03-12 at 08:12 PM.

Re: Herts, Beds & Bucks
After our second meeting of the East Anglian Members meet was so enjoyable even out in the cold. I'll willing to meet some more BB knife Knuts from the Herts,Beds & Bucks area. Come on lads and lasses you won't regret it.

I'm in and if possible my son as well if that would be OK?
We've been to a couple of LSECCA meets together and really enjoyed them!
Look forward to it!

Re: Herts, Beds & Bucks
Just looked up Broomhills
Looks Good: We've plinked a bit in the garden but I'd love to shoot again!

I'm up for either but broomhills plinking could be fun, been there lots before, it's cheap too, but pub would also be fine, or royal standard of England in beconsfield?

Re: Herts, Beds & Bucks
looks like broomhills might be a plan. i'll get in touch with them and see what might be done. worse case senario we just turn up and use the canteen for chats, cars and range for show. i was thinking a saturday or a sunday? but of course it will always be weather permitting if we dont have anywhere under cover. lets see what they say.
HBBCA ok? (Herts Beds & Bucks Cutlers Association)
