I will aim to get there as early as possible, but I suspect it won't be before noon. I've got to go from Letchworth to Pinner to Letchworth, before I go to Markyate...

Strange request I know, and left a little late, but if anyone attending has a sensible amount of scrap lead (1/2 CWT or so !) that they'd like to trade/sell/swap, could they bring it along please ? I'm running low on stuff to pour as ball and expect to be going into a bit of a production run in the near future
If it's not sharp, it's just a piece of metal.

Most of them are some sort of zinc-like alloy these days fella I had a big bucket of weights from a tyre place which they made me pay for ... and most of what was in it was unusable. Give me good old fashioned lead pipe anyday
At the present rate I might even have to take a trip to the scrappy and see what I can get there, but they'll want rum tokens for it and the thought of that breaks my heart.

BTW .. I'll be bringing a couple or 3 air rifles, the 12, and a few ball-launchers that should prove fun on the rifle range. Folks welcome to have use of them all if I'm happy they know what they're doing with them.

Oh ... and a cutty-choppy-slicey thing or two

Re: Herts, Beds & Bucks (HBBCA) meetup thread

ApolgyI've been eagerly waiting to post, since I got back from the HBBCA meet at Broomhills today to tell all how good it was. Only to get home and the site is down, frustrating or what. Anyway 12 hours later here we go.
I think I can speak for nearly everyone apart from one of the boys with Delivery D feeling a little unwell. That it was a very good afternoon out.
Lots of knives to look at (pictures later from some of the other guys), some new faces to meet and chat with and a few toys to shoot with.
Big thanks to Relin for letting us use his shotgun to try and hit a few clays. A first to me, so that was exciting. I don't know if they will have us back as a tall chap with a big step was destroying everything on the airgun range with his catapult. You're going to have to get that thing chrono'd some time. Anyway that's all from me as I left early because I'm on nights and I better leave something to say from the other guys.
Thanks all for today, it was great meeting you all old and new.
Post edit to apologise to Chastiser. In my excitement in telling all about the day I forgot to say thank you to the man who organised it all, Chastiser.

Totally agree and a big thanks to Mike for organising what hopefully will become a regular gig, was a thoroughly good day all round and was great putting faces to names
