    Columbia River Edgie on clearance

    http://www.heinnie.com/Clearance/Edgie/p-102-7808/

Only £15.95 now, will that tempt anyone? I've never even seen this knife in the flesh so can't really comment, only heard some not very good comments I'm afraid.

Just that it's not very good, auto sharpening is only on one side and it doesn't really work very well anyway.

It's a chisel grind, which is why it only sharpens 1 side of the blade It is a tough/chunky folder and I have one here that gets regular box-cutting duties. I wouldn't EDC it because I like a lighter knife in my pocket but it is not something I am goign to get rid of in a hurry

Now some of us might want those qualities in an EDC knife, thanks for pointing that out, it's hard to tell by a picture.

Shame that it's not got a choil though, how's the back spring tension compared to say a G10 UKPK? Does it have a half stop too?

From memory the back-spring is fairly soft but I don't hold that against a slip-joint

Yeah, I hear what you are saying. It's a shame that they don't make many UK legal models though, well not modern looking stuff with choils for example.

I do not care for the Edgie sharpening feature, but I do like that blade shape A LOT.

Would come in handy on the next kayaking trip.

Had one for about two years, used it for all sorts of cutting tasks, still going strong and shave sharp.Well worth it at that price
