nice dayto play with my forge
i decided to fire up my little forge today, i found an old railway spike on a recent trip to florida and ive always wanted to have a go at a railroad spike knife, so today was the day.
as you can see from my anvil and tool kit i only dabble at forging, so i was quite pleased how this turned out.

Nice forge. I like the twisted handle.
That's what i like in forging, using scrap pieces of metal and giving them a second life.

Not really Matt took about an hr, I used the adjustable spanner and the grips to get the twist and then flattened out a basic blade shape then fine tuned it with a grinder.
Talk soon mate
