    Sheathed camp kitchen knives?

    Hey guys,

Wondering what my options are as I quite fancy picking up a food prep knife that I can use in the kitchen but also take out with me camping. Ideally 5"+ and with enough finger clearance to get a good chop on

I use a Serrata for that sort of stuff, if crowbar duties are not required.

Do you mean you want a kitchen knife with a sheath?

Just get a kydex sheath maker to make you an edge cover or there are the kuhn rikon knives or there are some magnetic fold over covers you can buy for kitchen knives.

I use the Kuhn Rikon Knives, swiss made and come with a plastic blade guard, perfect for kitchen draw or camping use.

What good is money if it can't inspire terror in your fellow man?

Ivan Campos makes a number of excellent knives just for this purpose. I believe it is called his "Simplicity" line.
