Scandi for a friend.
I have a very good friend who is also a member here in BB as Nickblade. He makes very nice knives but no scandis. He likes more knives with bolsters and full tangs. So i decided to present him a scandi and maybe i will turn him in a scandi lover.

Blade carbon by Helle, brass, buffallo horn and briar wood.
Comments are welcome.

This is a lovely piece of work, lefteris. It is simple, yet nicely balanced. I particularly like the wood you used. The rest goes very well with the strong and long blade. The sheath is sober and very well done. A kind of knife that will make a wonderful gift.

Yours puukko is very skilled work, I like both desingn and materials. But untill next time you have to educate youself to do skandinavian style back seamed sheath. IMO it´s one of the main attribute in skandinavian style.

Proper work, mate. Great fit and finish and appealing materials. Even though the sheath is not that traditional, you did a very nice job, esp. like the belt loop! Your friend will be very happy with it.
Cheers

Re: Scandi for a friend.
Beautiful work!
Even in the sheath, the knife must be kept sharp.

I am the friend with the scandi knife! The knife is really good! Beautiful handle for secure grip and very good work on the sheath. It’s so good that I might even start to like scandi knives!

Thanks Lefteris! It’s a very good knife and I honor it in any of my outdoor activities.Last edited by nickblade; 04-04-12 at 08:27 AM.
