Re: £7000 for a truck? Recommendations?
I have a Defender but for £7000 I would only buy a 90 van, In my opinion older Defenders don't seem to age well so if you're buying one get the newest and lowest mileage you can. Nissan Patrols are great and much better value than Defender and Landcruisers my Dad has one and they are huge! wider than a Defender and all over bigger than a Landcruiser. Everyone says Defenders are unreliable but I've never had any problems and when they do go wrong the parts are cheap and easy to get.

Re: £7000 for a truck? Recommendations?
Not everyones cup of tea, but a 1965 series landrover costs me £86 per year to insure (Fully comp) and £0 to tax. It is slow but reliable and has lots of space. When I need to move lots of stuff and the dog, I use my trailer. Petrol ain't cheap, but for £7K you could get a complete rebuild, V8, running on gas and a Sankey.
