Maxpedition Fatboy Question
Will a Maxpedition EDC pocket organiser fit in the front pocket of the Fatboy? their website says both are 5" x 7"
I'm guessing it'll fit but can anyone with both please confirm before I buy the Fatboy.

Re: Maxpedition Fatboy Question
It will fit. But the mini fits better.
The only thing you might want to consider is having the organiser in the main compartment. If you over fill the front pocket then it pushes back in to the main compartment, so you loose the space anyway. It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
Then it's a sport.

Re: Maxpedition Fatboy Question
Even if the organiser doesnt fit where you want it, You wont regret getting the fatboy versipack. It's a bit cheaper on The bushcraft store than on HH. I think mine was about £55.
If you want somehting bigger, you can get the jumbo versipack.
Loads of options, there are cheaper versions, and loads of styles, colour options and you can even get everything in an 'S' model which is the mirror image for left hand carry. It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
Then it's a sport.

the jumbo is a better bag, the fatboy is a pocket

And if you need bigger, get the colossus! Its what I did http://www.maxpedition.com/store/pc/COLOSSUS-VERSIPACK-4p379.htm
A nalgene sized pouch on each side for water and stove kit and you're sorted
Gets a bit weighty though

Re: Maxpedition Fatboy Question
The fatboy is pretty small. But for me, if I had the jumbo and loaded it up, I wouldn't be comfortable carrying it for hours.
I would say that if you need to carry more than the fatboy allows and your going to be carrying it for a long time, then you want a small back pack.
I do kind of wish I had got the jumbo so I had more options though. It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
Then it's a sport.

Re: Maxpedition Fatboy Question
I'm going to go for the Jumbo, better to have too much space than not enough.

Re: Maxpedition Fatboy Question
Probably a good idea.
I think that the fatboy is just there as a cheaper option now.
A great bag. I'm really happy with mine. There just isnt enough room. Once all my EDC stuff is in it, I can carry a 500ml bottle of water and just about fit a sandwich in. but no room for anything else. It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
Then it's a sport.

Re: Maxpedition Fatboy Question
Jumbo arrived today, very impressed it’s the perfect size for my EDC I think the Fatboy would have been too small.
