August 2012 LSECCA campout - Bardster's farm 25-27 august

I've just realised that there doesn't appear to be a thread for this yet outside of the thread announcing that there'll be a cutting certification & competition at it

So, folks who are coming for the cutting comp, and anyone else who wants to come, please sign up here as well so we have numbers for those camping!

We expect the loo hire costs to probably be about the same as the last campout, along with site hire, but I've PMd Bardster and asked him to drop by this thread to confirm all that.

TENTATIVE COSTS from Bardster - to be cofirmed - are as follows:

Yup, costs should be pretty much the same, £10 per pitch per night and the loo was just over £100 for the weekend and divided by who was there.
Will have a word with the owner to confirm camping costs. Loo may be different as its a bank holiday. will get on and check that.

As the Bank Holiday is Monday 27th, the plan is to be onsite Saturday 25th through to Monday 27th, with potentially early arrivals on Friday 24th if people want to make a longer weekend of it (and if we can have the site from Friday).

Neither Am nor I can get the 24th off work (buggrit!), so we'd be arriving on the Saturday morning.

The plan is:

• Food!
• Archery?
• Air rifles?
• Knife throwing?
• Cutting competition & certification session
• Drink!
• campfire!
• More food!
• More drink!
• Telling of tales!
• And most importantly of all - have a great time!

Open to all BB members who want to come, regulars & newcomers and we're family & dog friendly

seeing as there have been several threads about this sort of thing, how about a comp for the weekend. each individual has to make a fire and cook a portion of chicken? rules to be refined as we go along?
