i wasnt suggesting banning em. but, with the output of some of these torches i would say care needs to be taken.

i would say though, and this is just my opinion, i have a preference for pepes from our little band attending, not those purely from another site. one of the really good things about our meet ups is the general behaviour of those that attend. i wouldnt want to see that spoiled.

I just read the whole thread, but I couldn't see where Bardster's Farm was. Maybe I missed it; maybe I should search BB; maybe it'll be useful in the first post?

I see. So you take the initiative to invite members from another forum - whose main interest are torches and other light-emitting devices - and then decide that they won't be allowed to play near the hub and main activity area in the evening...

I am really sorry I won't be there to see how this is enforced

Site location postcode is TN27 9EY

Map for site once you're zooming in on a map:

Some BB members like myself are members of CPF too, where do you wish to draw the line? I'm also a member of some knot forums, would it cause any issues if anyone wanted to bring some cord to teach a few knots?

What makes you think that guys and gals from another forum would spoil the meeting? Everyone I've met (face to face in real live) from a forum has been a like minded nice person, easy to get on with fun, helpful etc.

Considering that this is an open forum for anyone to join your comments don't make for a great welcome to new members.

I'll be there on Sunday and possibly some of Saturday as well.
Plus, dogs, swimbo and my Dad really fancies a go at cutting, but we will see.
Not camping though as I'll be staying at my Mums house in Lenham for the weekend about 3miles away!
It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt.

i have just seen bardsters as a BB thing.

i wasn't welcoming anyone, i was, as we all do, simply stating my opinion.

i guess my idea of a nice weekend in the country doing stuff i enjoy is not enhanced by the thought of the evenings chat around a few beers being illuminated by the seachlights of stalag XIII

At the moment I'm up for it, hoping to bring along a nice Fallow buck.

I may be able to swap one of mine for a head shot park deer, if so, that'll mean an immaculate summer coat will be available for someone to cure if they like?

You saying CPF forum members will spoil it then? Or you want something exclusive to BB members, our "little band"?

I can list you BB members that I wouldn't want at a meet. Me and my (long gone) laser for one

I think a CPF crew should be welcomed. And f*** the rules, they're aren't any.

Just a suggestion - if there's a feeling of potential un-ease about guys using high powered flashlights - why not treat them a tad like the air-rifles, and ask anyone who wishes to use any, they are most welcome indeed, but to do so away from other people and the camp fire in a controlled manner...........?
