    And at least I'm learning the limitations of sand/bead blasting as a finish, and that's a great looking parang too!

    I've tried the vibrating table, it's not agressive enough, at least not for use on hardened steel. It yields a satin like finish after ages in the abrasive medium and the blade need to be polished to higher than 600grit before abrading on the vibrator else the original scratching stays visible. I think tumbling (stonewashing) will be more effective.

    Here's what happened when i tried stonewashing.

    I'd like to get hold of some proper irregular shaped ceramic media (I saw a thread on here with a pic of the stuff Anso uses, but can't find it at the mo.

    I have a stainless steel torch that I would like to have bead blasted somehow.

    I just want a nice even finish. Just now it is smooth and there are machining marks.

    Does anyone know of someone who could perform this service for me?
