Re: Whatever Happened to the Spyderco Native slipit
Hi Sal
I love your knives and own about 60+ Spyderco’s of many sizes and had an Endura 1st gen since the early very 90’s also about 25+ of which are of the Slippy designs (yes I buy 2 – 3 at least of each UKPK design for back up, and have at least 4 Ti and 4 Carbon, also 5 x G10 versions , also Teluza and various FRN UKPK’s as well as different BRYDs, etc).
Originally when I started this thread I just wanted another great UK EDC knife from you and pushed on getting the next great slippy and realised that their had been numerous of threads about this possible entry;
The fantasy knife and then the BB forum knife etc, of which had gone on forever and now about 2 – 3 years old at least with no answer and also the forums are closed, which kind of makes me laugh when some comments refer to them by the moderators as looks as those for the answers, How???
That’s why I was asking a straight question on starting this thread of when on your respected views and updates on this incredible next slipit from Spyderco, when will they be available? Just Asking???
And many thanks for your great knives, big respect always from the best possible production and reliable knife maker ever.

Re: Whatever Happened to the Spyderco Native slipit
Hi Warhead,
Thanx much for the support and the kind words. We have a working prototype of the BB Native Slippie, which is using a split spring. The delay is the result of the Golden factory being behind on many models and dealers unhappy about the delays on current models. We're building all current models each month but we've not yet caught up. The Native has been pushed back in the production queue several times due to this issue. We have a number of new models that have not yet begun for the same reason.
We've designed an addition to the Golden facility and will begin building this year. I can only apologise for the delay.

Many thanks for the update Sal, its good in a way to know that the spyderco factories are not short of work but instead overflowing with production orders
nice to see business booming in hard times.
