    Re: Richie's moments of madness

    Now I like that it's a belta.
N most will know I border on the side of madness..
I can only start to imagine what goes on in your head as the ideas flood in.
All my inspiration is done wearing a Stella box.
Gotta make myself a Bowie soon.
    Thx for showing.

Cheers fellas That's real nice of you.

Continued on with the guard today , hand sanding polishing and adding some detail to the ends. Originally I was going with a wire brushed finish but decided it wasn't good enough so it's got a high shine finish instead.
Guard soldered on and the start of the handle build starts.

Sorry no pics the workshop is a mess

    Re: Richie's moments of madness

As promised but a day later here are some progress shots.

First 3 are of glue up stage and tape and all sorts used

Next 3 are with all the crap taken off , peened over stick tang ,Guard heated and shaped to fit front guard. shaped and polished. Tape still left on the blade to protect is against scatches etc.
    No posh photography skills here.

Still a bit more polishing to do here and there , then it's off to get a coat.
