Re: Danzo Quick Comp!
Glad you got it mate!
I shall explain briefly.......
I had my balcony doors open, listening to the fairground sounds that were drifting across the Trent. It's the Riverside Festival, mainly a big funfair but there's food and bands. All of a sudden I heard the sounds of The Tansads, who were the greatest band to have ever come out of Wigan, despite what poxy music journalists might suggest about a band who once supported The Tansads. Obviously the drugs did work for that bunch, which is why nobody remembers them.
It can't be The Tansads, I thought, and a quick google showed it wasn't, it was the core of the band, John, Andrew and Bob Kettle now called Merry Hell.
So I scooted across the suspension bridge with a few cans of cider and had a great evening listening to old Tansads songs and the new Merry Hell ones, which are superb, as they played the old Embankment bandstand.
Happy me!

Re: Danzo Quick Comp!
....someone asked me about the Manchester comments.
The Tansads/Merry Hell are from Wigan. Wigan is in Lancashire. To be honest only someone with the intellect and awareness of a whelk would even think otherwise. It is not and never will be part of Greater Manchester.
This was made very clear to me as a trainee teacher at a school in Ashton-in-Makerfield, when, trying to be ever so accurate, I corrected the proposed address on a polite young students computer prior to her printing a CV. Officially at that time Wigan was part of Greater Manchester. Officially......

The formidable head of IT told me, in front of the class, to leave the room and not come back in until I realised where I was teaching.

It was a glorious lesson in making sure you know where you are, and what's important to those who live there. Since then I have always, always done my homework. I even learned how to be polite in Welsh, but that's another story.
