Re: SNAB knife
of the two above: the top one belongs to my wife (second series, handle by Nightfly) the bottom one is the shape of the third series of mules he did. ( I had one in ats34, can't remember who I gave it to)
This fourth series was supposed to be flat ground, like a longer version of the second series.
series two on top, Mick Spain Handle
series one on bottom, ditto

Re: SNAB knife
Well now I'm totally stumped.
What are the ones we are getting going to look like? It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
Then it's a sport.

Re: SNAB knife
Ru Titley just posted some pics of what looks like could be the latest mule.
Looks nice. Looks pretty big but that might just the the angle of the pics.
I hope ru doesnt mind me using his very professionally taken pictures.

Re: SNAB knife
Just to say these turned up at my place today we're all sporting bald forearms and silly grins here

Though I'm getting the SUGRU out for whichever I decide to keep.

despite the pictures there are no wobbly grinds, just bits of buffing material we hadn't cleaned off
relative thickness of the D2 and the fancy bevel at the top of the tip of the blade

Re: SNAB knife
I'm quite sure that they are bombproof and only need sharpening once a millenium. However, what are the ergonomics good for? Looks like it could be a good steak knife, is the only thing I can think of...

Re: SNAB knife
I'll try one out with lunch.
I like fatter handles so Sugru is my friend, but the top one with the inset in a coke bottle handle suits me fine.Last edited by fluffy; 08-09-12 at 01:11 PM.

Re: SNAB knife
I think it is hard to make a handle for some one else, I hate coke bottle shapes. Others love them. These look good to me from the pics and for the height of the handle its in keeping. Too much thicker would look square. Every ones tastes are different
