Loveless Bolt hole size?

In my poor planning, I've neglected to get anything for a bolt to attach the handle to a knife I'll be making, not a problem as such, but IF I manage to get as far a long as to hardening, I have no idea what size I should drill holes beforehand.

What's a common size for these bolts, or where abouts can I find said info. Ta muchly.

Just reading this, I've realised I've only got imperial drills Mat.

Should be OK with those US bolts, but if you want metric bolts can you bring your own drill bit?
