I think I'm Turning Japanese
I like the way this thread is going.
This old Orange Samurai still gets a ton of wear. I've got it on a "football" strap that was made for the 22mm lugs on some of the "smaller" Panerai.

Re: I think I'm Turning Japanese
Wow! This thread has fallen to page 13. Have we stopped liking watches?

Anyway, I got one of these:

from Tesco. Reduced from £150 to £50, then to £30 because it needed a new battery.
Pros: it is very light and it was cheap.
Cons: the user guide is the wrong one.

Re: Wrist watches
Looks nice - and with that kind of discount I'd have felt like I pinched it
I love Titanium in watches though - I'm wearing my Ti Seiko right now.

Re: Wrist watches
Echoes of johnbaz's post here but i've just finished a one off stingray integral strap for my ecozilla and just had to post some pics, you'll certainly never see another one like this:

I might tinker with the strap a bit more, i've left it with the pearls whole, but am toying with the idea of semi-polishing it

Re: Wrist watches
I have wanted one of these for some time, they have stopped making them now apparently, It was delivered yesterday.

Got a SMP the other month.

When I rotate them I keep the unworn one in an Oakley watch vault, this is the smaller version, it fits either watch.

Re: Wrist watches
Fortis Cosmonaut, with Lemania 5100, a chronograph you can actually read. What else does one need from a mechanical tool watch?

Re: Wrist watches
Bought this one yesterday, Omega Planet Ocean, nearly bought the new ceramic bezel one but liked this one better when seen on the wrist!

Re: Wrist watches
Not my photo, but the previous owner's. Omega Speedmaster Schumacher 'Racing Dial'. It was a Christmas present to myself

It is difficult finding a nice watch with my small wrists
I love the Seamasters too, but tried them on, mid size a bit small, full size too big

Re: Wrist watches
The 42mm was just that little too big for my 6.5" wrist. The strange thing is that the mid at 36mm is probably a little bigger than the mid size Heuer 2000 I've been wearing for 20+ years.
It's thanks to this thread that I found mid size 36-39mm watches DO exist and another expensive interest was born

Re: Wrist watches
I thought you might like to see my one and only watch. This was passed on to me by my dad (don't worry, he's still with us), who worked in the European rail industry for many years. It was given to him by a Swiss colleague and friend. It's number 492 of 500 made to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Schweizerische Lokomotiv- und Maschinenfabrik, or Swiss Locomotive and Machine Works, who manufactured much of the world's mountain railway equipment. Sadly, they no longer exist as an independent business.

I rode over the mountains to Huddersfield. A wilder people I never saw in England.
The men, women and children filled the streets as we rode along, and appeared just ready to devour us.
