Nice looking watch and great history with it.

    Re: Wrist watches

I'm currently wearing a Seiko SKX007 with a black NATO band on it. Got it as a Christmas present this one just gone. Loving it

I'm also looking at the Casio G-Shock DW6900MS-1 (Blacked-out/Stealth) for the time that I require something a little harder and tactical. Especially as I'm slowly becoming a little more physical in life and is only going to advance as I work my way towards my career path.

The 007 (and maybe the new Seiko Monster due out 3rd/4th Quarter) are likely to be my only "dress" watches for a while. Even if I am in love with the Rolex Air-King.

    Scott.

Bought this one yesterday from a friend of mine who needed to raise some cash. It is ten years old and has only been worn a few times, weddings and special occations still got the hologram on the back.

I have had a couple of modifications carried out to my Seiko, I have changed to a Watchadoo bracelet and had a red second hand fitted.

With bracelet and red second hand.

    Re: Wrist watches

Is anyone else excited to have read in the Timefactors email that a Dreadnaught GMT may be on the way ?

This has partly consoled me for accepting that, no, a Prometheus Manta Ray WOULD be too big for my wrist (there's big, and then there's Blakes 7 teleporter big)

Thought I'd rescue this thread from page two with a couple of pictures of a recent arrival chez Jerry, courtesy of Timefactors:

Not enough wrist time to comment sensibly just yet. Shure looks purty, though

Bought this Omega Planet Ocean recently as it has the new 8500 Calibre movement. I already have a Tag 2000 and Tag 4000 automatic in the daily rotation as well as a Luminox Blackout and a couple of limited edition Casio pieces.

Lovely watch, slightly (1-1.5mm?) thicker than the old models but super all the same.

Thanks, i had been thinking of buying a new watch for some time and the new Planet Ocean put me over the edge. Mine is the 42mm model although the 45.5mm model is the same price, i thought the bigger model was less discreet. The main difference between the old 2500 PO and new 8500 PO is that the back is now totally 'see through' with a sapphire crystal instead of the solid, metal back.

    Re: Wrist watches

Double barrel movement is a massive step up from the in house eta the 8500 also has a 60+ reserve , broke must say both are lovely and the thought of a mechanical eco friendly engine on the wrist is nice
