Re: Wrist watches
As I often wear waistcoats I collect antique pocket watches.....and wear them!
Jolly dapper I look too.

Re: Wrist watches
Whilst I'm an avid collector of gadgets, when it comes to watches, I reckon it's got to be simple. I want it to tell the time, light up at night and look good. Mine's a Victorinox V7-04 Lite with the stainless steel band.
The only improvement I could ask for is if the band and watch were titanim.
The button at the 8 o'clock position lights up the entire face when pressed.
I couldn't find a picture on the net with the stainless steel band, maybe it's rare. Any offers?--

Re: Wrist watches
The PRS2 Dreadnought was assembled and certified by the above watchmakers Dornbluth & son. I think that they make fantastic waches and would love one of these or their other designs. But they are very expensive. Although good value when you consider the hours that go into making one.

Re: Wrist watches
Rolex submariner, like the sebenza, a design classic, very tough and looks great with a suit or tee shirt. Like a sebbie, if you keep it in good shape it nevers loses its value so you actually have in effect a free watch.

Re: Wrist watches
I'll 2nd the recommendations for the Speedbird and the Submariner, you could also check out Bill Yao's custom Seiko Dive watches, bullet proof mechanical watch at a good price (I had some problems with his UK agent so maybe a good idea to deal with Bill direct)

Re: Wrist watches
Hi General
Omega is a very good watch, try to stick with the Auto less hassle then sending off to have the battery changed.
Try this site www.secondtimearound.com (for good deal on second hand, ebay is a bit risky as you never now what movment and it's condition is inside the watch)
You should look at the Breitling (Super Ocean) or Bell and Ross also CWC’s (Auto diver models are great but only available from Silvermans in as new condition) .
You should also consider Luminox - they are great watches, especially when you buy them from ODS, I got mine (standard SEAL) for £80 posted they retail at £150.
You should give ODS a call as he seem to have access to other watches.

Re: Wrist watches
Yeah, they are nice arent they Wayne!

Big buggers tho - does it look OK on yer wrist?
Fortunately for my dad, he's built like my avatar - I actually had to have 2 links added to the standard strap. Looks OK on his wrist.δxδp≥h/4π
