    Cool So, your gadgets?

    I'll show you mine

    I like multi tools:
    I have
a leatherman PST II sourced from backcountry equipment
a number of Leatherman Micras - from ebay (one for $10 +$5 shipping!)
Swisstech Micro Plus from www.heinnie.com(on the keyring)

    Key ring stuff
Traser glowring , to see it
Comtech Stinger (an accupressure device[honest officer])
    Uncle Bill's Sliver Grippers tweezers
    A Fox 40 whistle - mine's in orange
I carry a £20 in a spycapsule - I got mine from another closed down supplier
On the keys, I also carry a photon microlight II - doesn't everyone? I again sourced those from a supplier who doesn't do England any more, but they're easy to find.

What else do I have - Blackhawk Riggers belt - good for carrying all those pouches etc

Camelbak Unbottle 70 - an insulated hydration pack that slips into my daypack
(which is a Lowe Alpine Contour Runner 35) mostly used for staying hydrated on crowded trains...
I carry my laptop in and Eagle creek computer vault (sourced from Rohan) which slips in there, and maked me look like less of a tempting target.

I wear a Tilley hat, which is excellent, and my Oakley Cobalt/Red Eyejackets clip on to the hat.

Do I look cool? No actually, I think I look rather a dweeb, but at least I'm well kitted out

    Today:

Small Regular Sebenza & Fisher Space Pen, together in horizontal carry belt sheath
    Arc AAA on neck lanyard
Surefire E2 + KL1 in belt sheath (occasionally Inova 5xt)
Surefire G2Z + P61 in coat pocket (occasionally ASP TACLITE internal focus)
Leatherman Wave in belt sheath (occasionally Gerber Legend or Leatherman Juice Xe6)
    Leatherman Micra on keys
A nice pair of Raybans (don't know the model - got about six differnet pairs)

...so I'm covered from the midday sun (not today though) to the dark of night...

I also could do with a riggers belt to cart all this crap around on

    Riggers belt:

    something along these lines:

    http://www.ustacticalsupply.com/belts.shtml

I know where I can get them in the US, but they are asking $41 shipping on a $28 dollar item

Anyone know of a UK source?

I got my Riggers belt form Go Get 'Em Gear, it was Blackhawk, I got it at discount for ex-military (TA counted) and I paid for Global Priority mail.

Javahed, who ran the place for his wife insisted on trying the belt on first... he apologised for it, but did mark the package used clothing.

I'd have though it was worth looking round. Also try looking for Instructors belts. Wilderness Survival, someone like that?

I keep meaning to go and buy the crabs/webbing I need to actually use it in rigging mode.

    Currenty I carry:

    An Opalec Mini MagLite
    A StreamLight Scorpion
An accupressure device on my keyring
A little Kershaw Chive if I feel like a rebel

I hope to get a Surefire and a Greco Friction Folder soon...maybe one day in the not so distant future!

soa - do you rate the Tilly hats?

I had a look at them in a store in Oxford a couple of months ago but thought they looked a bit too dorkish?

Are they worth the dorky look or is that just me?

Also where did you chaps get your stingers from?

I just had to find out what a Tilly hat was. I was brought up in a glasshouse, so what do you want from me, I've led a sheltered life. I saw one. :wow: I saw several. I am in therapy. What's worse, they make them in women's sizes, and in various designs. It's imperative for your future mental health and for the sensibilities of those around you that you buy one with a really large brim. Just pretend you pulled your collar up and put a bucket on your head. Please. The people in the advert photos are models/actors and they've been paid large sums of money to look like they really love having those things on their heads. It's not a pretty thing to say, but you need protection for your own good.

    Commisserations, keep taking the meds,
    Buttercup

Buttercup, you must have the record for the oldest reincarnation of a thread! 22 months I make it.

As a slaphead, I can tell you that no matter *what* it looks like, a Tilley is better than sunburn on the noggin. It also washes well, and is real robust.

Very dorky, but I'm bald - and need the cover!

Also where did you chaps get your stingers from?

    I got mine from here:

    http://www.spytech-uk.com/

Website looks dodgy and the Stinger isn't even on it, but if you give them a ring they have black ones and clear ones (£10 each). Got to give them your credit details over the phone which might be a concern, but I've never had anything but good service from them.

On a sad note: I've had to stop carrying my Chive as it bit me the other day as I was taking my wallet out of my pocket. I feel so betrayed!

Is this the place where they offer "two chemical constituants" that, together create a flame in thirty seconds?
