Is the handle half lathed? or is it hand carved?

All the 3D work on my knives is done by hand, i started out using sanders and dremels but i find i can control what i'm doing easier by hand....also i can do it while watching the Disney channel ( Kim Possible rules !!)

Actually today i'm starting on a simple japanese style damascus knife and a small sweeping scandi style with Styrefors blade , lots of 3D and shiny bits..lol

Interesting handle, did you glue the string at all?
