Tacol's latest complete finished knife
Hi folks,
I will finally have more time to spend into my workshop ! Exams are now behind
This is the latest knife. The blade was forged almost one year ago but the shape never really inspired me. Finally this is what came out after many drawings.
The blade is O1 flat ground with small secondary bevel, tapered from ricasso to tip. 11 cm long
Handle buffalo horn and sabilized birch burl. overall length 23.5 cm
Wet molded discrete leather sheath.
Hope you'll like it mates
Stéphane

Very very nice Stephane. I like that a lot.
The blade shape that “didn’t inspire you” – it reminds me a lot of a production knife – Spyderco’s Bill Moran drop point (one of my favourite production fixed blades). So you’re in good company there

Yes, actually, I am "bovvered".

I like the design. It is very modern looking yet very functional with a decent blade guard (a must on a very sharp folder where one slip means stitches and hand surgery).

Cheers
Yes the guard was obligatory on this one. The blade is so sharp and the handle so well polished...
Actually the more I look at it the more I like it. It was hard to design...
You can put a finger on the ricasso for a better carving control.Visit my webpage here :

Really like it. LIke the way the handle in the back is made. Looks like the beautiful wood would grip your hand perfectly.

That I really like. Superb modern interpretation of a Scandi. The blade design is beautiful.
