BO Gear - Aussie panel loading rucks?

Just wondering if anyone has experience with gear from these guys, particularly the 'Spare Camel'?

    http://www.bogear.com.au/spare-camel-backpack

I've got a couple of Goruck packs (GR2 34L, GR1, Bullet and have owned a bunch more), to which these have an obvious similarity, but the custom option intrigues me, as does the pocket layout. and use as a max-legal-carryon.

Thinking of picking one up to do a side by side with the Goruck. I suspect that it'll come up a winner if you don't need the laptop compartment of the GR or the insane overbuilt construction. I notice they also offer them in 500D (as a custom option), which would be a winner for me.

    Any info appreciated.

Thanks. Sniffing around over here I can't really find any reviews / comments that folk have them. Scouting around reviews online, the owners reviews tend to come from the biking community, but it seems like a pack that would appeal to other audiences, given the solid materials (1000D) and lack of 'tacticool ego' / marketing.

I've made some enquiries as to custom colours that I'd like (I'd like a brown and green kind of colour scheme), so hopefully I'll be able to pick on up in the config I want and then share a review with the community. Shipping is a bit of a beast (40) but I guess it's no worse than buying a pack from the 'States.

Anyway, communications with BOgear have been really friendly and conversational so far, so fingers crossed they can make the spec I want, then I'll happily drop the coin and take a gander at the bags from an outdoorsy / travel perspective.

That looks rather good. If you order two, will hey discount shipping?

Took a look at the videos. Having once owned a goruck GR2 (the 40L one) the BO gear medic pack seems better. I wanted to like the goruck for a travel bag but my issues were 1) 500d cordura would be better 2) No pals is better (go ruck killed the slick line) 3) BO shoulder straps look way better designed. 4) BO have a proper hipbelt on the medic. 5) 2 compression straps on BO

This pack looks pretty good as a Travel bag

They're quite happy to work with you on stuff too. I ended up asking for 500d, side grab handles that lay flat, brightly coloured lining.

If anyone is still looking at these, it seems they have decided to refocus their business and will no longer be making bags. They're working through the orders they have, but not taking any more.
In my case, a perfect example of how dithering doesn't pay off, no bag for me...

    Yeah. Similar situation to me

I would have liked one but took me too long to decide on colours.
