Talked to "the Man" right now and was told the knives should be ready within 1 - 2 weeks.

    In total I ordered:

    1 small, ss - wood
    2 small, ss - horn
    5 regular, cs - horn

GB is closed now, no further orders, please.

Re: Group buy - Kneissler farmers knives

    And finally here they are

    And also

Hope you`re still interested after the long time of wait!?

If so, just PM me your addresses and what kind of postage you like.

Postage to UK: 3,70 (just the correspondence/letter without registering or insurance)

I`d recommend at least to add 2,50 for registered letter
    Postage registered: 6,20

or an additional 2.- insured (up to 100.- )
    Postage registered and insured: 8,20

Mr. Kneissler didn`t charge me any postage so you can calculate your payment by adding your selected kind of postage to the price of your ordered knife

    small bubinga 25.-
    small cowhorn 29.-
    regular cowhorn 31.-

and don`t forget to add the paypal fees, please. (As I don`t plan to make a loss with this group buy. )

Within EU and payment made in the fee is 1,9% + 0,35 of the total amount.

Will give you my paypal address after I received your PMs.

That`s it, have a nice weekend guys.

Re: Group buy - Kneissler farmers knives

Seems the first batch crossed the Channel already, as dkonopinski told me via PM. ( David )

Some blades may open/close a bit stiff - just clean the area around the axis with (lots of) WD40 until it`s smooth. There could be parts of the polishing materials inside.
You can also wash it out with hot water but don`t forget to dry and oil it afterwards.

The spring isn`t flush to the opened blade but that`s no reason for complaint as it`s not intended being a collectors knife but a working tool only. (I mentioned that in the first post of that GB already.)

When you`ve sharpened the blade and sanded down the horn scales towards the bolsters a bit you should have a nice and reliable tool.

    I'm very pleased with mine.

A bit of work with Parker-Hale Express Gun Oil, a few pipe cleaners and one of the old handkerchiefs LOML keeps telling me to throw away and it's looking good. The edge is coming along nicely too. Not quite there yet but it will be.

Hi David, when your willow growth is all trimmed I`d like to hear how the Kneissler performed.
