    Bardsters - May Bank Holiday Weekend 26th ~ 29th May 2017

As usual, we are all invited down to sunny Kent for the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, 26th - 29th May.

If you've been before you know just how wonderful the place is and just how accommodating Paul and Huw the owner are.

If you haven't been before just look at the previous meet-up threads and you'll see what we mean.

Whilst this is called a Bank Holiday meet it is usually ok to turn up a day or two earlier but as the gate is now locked this has to be arranged with Paul/Huw.

These are the details which will be updated/verified as necessary:

Bardster now has the shooting rights there (non FAC air rifle/pistol only) and with his BASC insurance he is covered for organised shoots.

Costs are 5 per pitch, per night.

Site location postcode is TN27 9EY - (the red marker)

The actual entrance is the point of the white arrow which is down a lane off the tarmac in the corner of the field.

    Ideas of what to bring:

    - water, as much as you need for the weekend
    - food, there will invariably be a fire to cook on and there is also a communal bbq. Otherwise bring your own stoves.
    - booze / soft drinks depending on your own preferences.
    - a bag of charcoal for BBQ
    - sharp and shiny toys for the "show and tell"
    - anything relevant you have for trade or sale

This site is quite large, very rural and peaceful with plenty of space for pitching tents, tarps or hammocks. There are composting loos but no other facilities. The nearest pubs and villages are a drive away.

Nearest pub is a mere walk away

Headcorn is a drive and has a supermarket.

Looking forward to it as usual. I'm hoping DD, Zorro, and Chris can get there again. And ANDYLASER, and South Island Kev.

Regarding the composting loos, any chance of paying a little extra for portacabins?
Well, everybody in Casablanca has problems. Yours may work out.

Much better last time Marc, and moved to the other side of the field, further up a bit. I had a satisfying couple of visits

It's not so much for me. But the female members of the tribe have a different standard, apparently 😳

Not mine, you should be thankful, she's been known to disappear behind the tent for a wee if time is of the essence.

You French people are just so sophisticated.

Good to know. Mind, the standard was such a couple of years ago that raising it was easy. That is not a slight on Paul BTW, just a recollection of the earful I got on the way home
