    Re: Boot recommendations

Get your own choice of Vibrams or Airwalk put on the Meindl if they fit well.

Edit: My apologies, Skywalk.... Not Airwalk

    Re: Boot recommendations

So following on from this thread I bought 3 (yes 3) pairs of boots

1 pair of Altberg Defender boots brown...

2 pairs of combat high liability Haix boots 1 brown 1 black

Love the Haix boots, fit like gloves and feel great will prob keep both, and TBH they feel in a different league to the Altbergs. I am not an expert but thats my feeling lol, anyhow the Albergs will be moved on...

You are actually quite lucky then. As a lot of soldiers get Haix and then get a different pair they like more. That means Haix goes cheap on ebay more. Personally I didn't mind the Haix but I loved the altbergs much more.

I've been there , done that, without the anaesthetic.
This thread has had me roaming the boot sites and planning a trip to Richmond

Love my Meindl Burmas, and they are quite a few years old.

    Re: Boot recommendations

I was in a well respected boot retailer with in house cobblers yesterday while the Mrs was looking for a new pair. Tried on quite a few. One point of note..... They advised stongly against Meindl, apparently production moved to China some time ago and they are having too many problems with the products so sadly cant recommend them any more.
