Repairing scuffed / gouged leather (slightly OT)
Quick one.
Possibly as a result of dragging my feet, or my fondness for overly pointy elf-like shoes, I keep gouging holes in the tips of my shoes, far before the rest of the leather is even showing wear.
In some cases the bit of leather gouged out is hanging on, in others it's going.
In all cases at the moment these are black.
Any suggestions for how to repair this? At the moment it's costing me a fair bit in replacing my work shoes as they look a bit raggedy.
Tabuy nice or buy twice.

sand it down and glue on another piece. If it has too look good then sand the patch flush and put a coat of leather paint over it and polish.
