NZ Law is based on British Law...

If YOUR name is on a Company addressed envelope, THEY are legally allowed to open it, as you are not a resident, but an employee.
I did one private sale for a knife here in BB, and had it sent it to work, as my private mailbox at home was at the time being tampered with...
One of the secretaries had a mini heart attack when she opened up the parcel, and I was then told about the legal side of things...

    Re: Opening post

What happens when you rent a P.O.Box and something is sent there requiring a signature?

Are P.O.Boxes inside the Post Office?

The Royal Mail sorting office near to my parents' home started a "service" a couple of days ago. There were many complaints about the first delivery (which used to be between 6h30 and 7h00 round that way) shifted to being around 10h30; the post was delivered after people had left for work, causing problems especially for large envelopes and "signed-for" envelopes.

Now, you can ask for your post to be held at the sorting office, which opens at around 5h30, and pick it up yourself.

Maybe a P.O. Box near to work, or pick-up at the sorting office, could work for you, Brainflex.

When I was in the Army I played a trick on my mate who lived in the room next door to mine in the barracks.

I applied on his behalf to a few of the Freepost jobbies in the back of the Sunday magazines .. for Stanna Stairlifts, mobility carts, etc, etc, etc.

He used to get MOUNTAINS of mail.
