    Some Skinners

Here a couple of damascus skinners 12cm blades(43/4") with axis deer stag (from my place)handles with ebony and redwood(top one). The sheaths have snakeskin from different local snakes from my ranch, skinned and tanned at home. All handstitched. The sheaths are all one piece of sole leather, except for the inlay for the sharp part of the blade, Happy NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!!! this a beautifull set; knife plus seath, yes indeed, the recurve damascus is a jewell, and the snakeskin seath are great and look sturdy too.

Albert, more stunning work! I love the blades--damascus and profile. Your handles are amazing--tasteful use of spacers, and excellent antler. Your sheaths too are fantastic--the design, artful stitching, and use of snake skin. Your knives continue to amaze and inspire me. Todd

    Re: Some Skinners

Thank you Todd! The lower knife's snakeskin is from a realy dangerous snake called Yarara' (Bothrops alternatus)which can be as long as 2meters,6feet,very venimous, big fangs. The pattern thow is very nice,I think.I wish You and yours a very Happy New Year.-Maybe some day you come down to South America again.Albert
