Some Finnish Puukkos (pics heavy)
Few pics of some of my dearest Finnish Puukkos.
Iisakki Järvenpää Lapinleuku.

Large razor sharp blade.

Marttiini Ilves Larry Thorne (Lauri Törni) memoria model.

On the sheath is the logo of his own infantry unit, a bolt of lightening crossing over a Capital "T".

Although being rather small puukko, Larry loved it. He used to ask his family to send more of these Marttiinis for him to US Army Special Forces where he was serving after WWII. He gave them as presents to his friends and fellow soldiers. During WWII he killed numerous Russians with this puukko.
Size compared to leuku.

The Finnish Ranger Puukko.

Blade is hand forged and teflon coated. Obviously scary sharp.

On the leather sheath is the The Coat of Arms of Finland.

Re: Some Finnish Puukkos (pics heavy)
Cheers!
Well I haven't used it that much so I can't really give a proper verdict of it.
It has a very strong blade, 5mm thick from the top. Very nice locking mechanism which keeps the knife in the sheath in any position you carry it. It is sharp as heck as I already mentioned. I do like it very much and I wouldn't worry about using for any hard job outdoors - what I've read, it can take serious battering.
I'm looking forward to take it out for camping trips in the mountains next summer.

Beautiful knives, but does this comment:
" During WWII he killed numerous Russians with this puukko"
make the knife any better?------------------__O

Ofcourse not. Just some history trivia related to that model of puukko and the most legendary finnish soldier, which I thought might interest some readers. No means to insult anyone with that comment. Maybe badly worded, apologies for that.
