The H1 is in what Fallkinven call 3G steel.

A shameless copy from them as follows....

The new version of the H1 features 3G steel. 3G is a revolutionary laminated anticorrosive steel, with a core comprising Super Gold Powder Steel (SGPS) and sides of VG2.

h1 is Fallkinven hunting model. Nowt to do with h-1 non corosive stuff. If your doing a lot of fishing stuff get one of the spyderco salt series they are all h-1

Thanks squidboy , I already have an Atlantic Salt but am interested in a fixed blade H1 steel . Thanks for clearing that up .

I hope not

It's been taken out and played with by the looks of it as the surface coating has scratches on both sides from the kydex.

I was not the original buyer so I can't say 100% it's not been used.
I have never used it and it doesn't look like it's been sharpened (certainly not the sharpest blade Fallkie do)or cut more than paper.
