Your simple but very well executed knives are really good Nicola .
I'm thinking at some point in the autumn maybe or sometime in the future, ill have to have a chat.
I haven't seen one I haven't liked , really subtle , functional and well made.
    Thanks for posting.

One by the not so well known maker Dave Tavener, glorious piece of wild olive wood, a personal favourite, the photos do not do it justice.
Compared to my Woodlore, it has a real heft to it, which i like.

Sharpen it like you love it, use it like you hate it.

Yes mate, it's a full 4.2mm thick compared to the Woodie which is 3.7mm measured on my calipers.
The knife is a lot beefier all round than the one that it's cloned on, and i can only presume that there maybe less bladestock milled out from under the scales as the knife feels quite handle heavy, which i prefer, and possibly, Olive wood is heavier/denser than the Maple on my Woodlore, which also has no liners and a tapered tang.

Lovingly used but not abused Bushcrafter with O1 and Bubinga by a certain Mr.Howe.
This was the first ever custom knife that i commissioned and the start of a slippery slope for me.
