    It is an LLBean Classic Continental Rucksack, Waxed-Canvas.

    I have one, there are some "quality" issues especially with the leather used to make up the straps, these are made by sewing 2 thinner leather straps with the "nice" side on the outside together with some nylon fabric in between.
    This nylon fabric sheds threads like a camel shedding it's winter coat and the "leather" straps stretch especially the one's used for the shoulder straps.

    The rest is very nicely constructed.

    You can get a similar pack for a teener delivered, once I remember where I got mine from! Hang on!

    Edit: http://www.genuinearmysurplus.co.uk/...tail/rowid=679 It will work out at about a tenner including postage. Get some Nikwax waterproof wak on the leather to condition it, but mainly to stop it creaking!
