and this is my first stacked leather handle since I was a kid so I'm looking forward to trying it out

That Mick Spain knife is a beauty.
He makes some nice knives doesn't he?
I think it will prove to be a real investment in the future.
Well done, lucky so and so

This is a great thread with some beautiful tools.
I don't think any of my camp or shop kit would qualify as beautiful but it's all functional.
    .

Basic Swede Sloyd Knife.... my main shop knife
German(?) E Tool....It's roughly sharpened on the edges and splits kindling very well besides digging holes etc.
Woodman's Pal AKA Survival Tool, Type IV ......better then a machete.
Dad's Old Filet Knife ........if it could talk!
Beat up old Estwing Hatchet.....Still razor sharp
Doug Ritter designed Benchmade folder.......my EDC and best ever pocket knife.
Early knife project ............... ugly but sharp.
USN Kabar.............. From back in the day.
Looks like there's plenty you can do with that lot.

Aye, it's used to peel spuds, make feathersticks, dice beef, liver and kidneys, cut rope and string, slice open bread rolls and butter them and a myriad of other uses.

Such a good collection of knives here.

Is this thread ever going to be made a sticky?
