    Thanks guys

I have yet to decide the style of sheath(what sort of pouch that is( for this knife I am thinking it deserves a little carving to it.

Any ideas bushcraft style regular puoch or a pouch withthe scallloping on the side??

I'd go for a horizontal crossdraw myself

That is absolutely gorgeous,Abe.I love that high flat grind. I agree with Danzo on the horizontal cross draw.

This is my short list of knives that I would take afield. This list will change if I ever manage to make another knife for myself.
P.J. Tomes D2 integral hunter with a jigged micarta handle
Ed Caffrey forged 5160 hunter with stablized black locust and nickel silver
one of my own little abortions in forge W2 with nickel silver hardware and African blackwood handle
Craig Camerer "Slim Pickens' in W2, I believe with Micarta handle
Ox Forge budget version of the Special Ops bowie. Charlie Ochs came up with this simpler full tang version in O1 and Micarta at the request of one of the commanders at Special Operations Command so that the average soldier could buy it. It is a rather burly little sucker and would be a very good choice if you only had one knife in the field. FYI, I got it 2 years ago for about $100 less than what the basic "starter kit" Strider with the paracord handle sells for

Thanks. Have you broken that little 1075 hunter yet? I am working on a very burly 6 1/2 x 1 1/2 x oversized 1/4 W2 drop point field knife right now. It will have a stainless assymetrical double guard and a blackwood handle, but without the buttcap if all goes well.

How could we forget these little cutters?

I would die if I lost the second one! I've had it for over 10 years. Great little knife. The fist one is a #9 and the second a #8
