Show us your Shing.....
Right, time for a Shing thing,
first up, the Badger with Claro walnut and mosaics....Ditched that sheath, got a much better one now

Next up the Otter in D2 with stabilized Californian Buckeye Burl and
stainless....
Finally, the Slippy, again D2 flavour blade. Alternate between Spalted Elm Burl
and black G10 with red liners, and a slip I made from an old wallet.

Had a couple of bushbabies, haven't finished the scandi, and sold the flat grind

Lets see yours!

Here's mine, a D2 necker which i put lignum vitae scales on, and my Shing Raven with titanium bolster and desert ironwood.......
I think Stew has a similar one made about the same time with damascus bolsters and it's a beauty!!

and with their sheaths.......

Re: Show us your Shing.....
Just received this from Shing and it is a beast!! It is his Integral model with a 7mm blade. It is heavy but that said it is well balanced. A great knife.

Re: Show us your Shing.....
Having seen this I think Shing should have called it the 'Submarine Survival Knife'
Why?
Because it's the only knife I have ever seen that I have absolutely no doubt would allow me to cut my way out of a submarine.
You'd need to drop the bl**dy thing once you got out though, as it weighs more than me.

ambition is eventually to have more Shings than Shing...If we're not supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat?

Re: Show us your Shing.....
Nice collection Luresalive!
Like Fiskar asked, what are the two unhandled blades?
I'd love something like Fiskar's "Badger" or the "Otter" (or "Field Knife") with a slight drop point like that bottom blade, rather than the spear point.

Re: Show us your Shing.....
The very Bottom one is Shings "Model number 2" it is now one of his standard bush/field designs along with the Badger ,Otter and Baby Bushy. The one above it was a new design Shing was trying out, it's gorgeous, only about 1/8"thick, 3 1/2 inch blade and wonderfully light, I've really been struggling on what to handle this one with...
(A Shing Bowie..Hmm, another one to add to the already massive list!!)If we're not supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat?
