    New camera some pics...

    Got a Nikon D40 with a 300ml lens, mainly for the Oyster catcher surveys and other Birdlife i need to record.

    Great camera, a step up from my lumix.

    I really like the first Oyster Catcher pic.Do you know what the shrub is?I found one like it down on the Fowey river and did'nt know what it was.Cant go far wrong with Nikon.

    The shrub is spindle, lovely tree, found on limestone coastal sites, sand dunes, the first pics are of Oxwich, the ones with the oyster catchers is Whiteford, both on Gower..

    the oyster catcher pics are better when bigger...

    The Nikon D40 is recomended, i went for weight and size against larger pixel size.

    I like the D40, and you do not need mega pixies to get a great pic, especially if you are never going to print bigger than 8 x 10 inch...

    Yup. Everyone seems disappointed when I tell them my camera is only 6.3mp.
